Welcome to Fencott and Murcott Parish Council

The Parish Council consists of five residents and one Parish Clerk. This year (2026) there will be an election. If you are interested in standing as a Parish Councillor please contact Cherwell District Council who will provide you with nomination information. 

The Parish Council meet at 7.00pm on the first Wednesday of every month for about an hour, in Murcott Village Hall.

The dates of meetings, minutes, agendas and finance reports are posted on this website and on the two village noticeboards. 

What can the Parish Council help with? 

 

Alice's Meadow

The Parish Council are responsible for managing this field on behalf of approximately 3500 owners. 

 

Village Hall outside area

The Parish Council maintain the playground, car park and flower beds. 

 

Parish Assets

The council owns and maintains two bus stops, noticeboards, two litter bins, a bench and three dog bins. 

 

 

Flooding 

Otmoor and River Ray localised flooding issues. What to do if your home is at risk of flooding. 

 

Fix My Street

Super User status for getting pot holes and other highways defects reported. 

 

Rights of Way 

Many footpaths and bridleways traverse  throughout the parish, make sure you know the way!
